The First Date

The common thought that comes to mind when someone says "I'm have a date tonight" is Dinner and a Movie. Yes, thats a fun date in the beginning of a relationship because the atmosphere is light and the pressure is relieved a little bit because of the other people in the resturant and the quietness of a movie. My first date with my boyfriend was at a resturant in Hershey called Fire Alley. It was a Friday night and the resturant was crowded and I was so nervous about what we were going to talk about and how dinner would be. But it turned out great. We were able to fit in well with the comfortable atmosphere and just talk and enjoy dinner. Even though it seems cliche, I definitely recommend dinner at a resturant as a first date just to help the evening go on easier!
However, after awhile (especially now-a-days) dinner and a movie starts to add up and get expensive. That is when you have to start getting creative with date ideas. Creativity adds a whole other element to planning a date because now you get to think of something different to do together that you know that you will both enjoy and be able to enjoy being together!

  1. Creativity is always important on dates. I kinda combined both of your suggestions on a date a while ago. We went to a drive in movie theater, I know there are none around here, but it is a really nice atmosphere because we could watch the stars and the movie!

  2. My first date with my boyfriend was a movie and it was nice because we weren't forced to talk the whole time just in case it was awkward. And we both enjoyed the movie so afterwards we had something to talk about. Now, which is two years later, we are both broke so we have no choice but to get creative. We had to make dinners from our home cabinets. We had no choice but it was nice to do something together, and not spend any money.
