Look up at the Sky!
Look up! It sounds simple but one of the best date options could be laying down a blanket and looking up at the night sky! Think about it, how much more romantic can it get? It's just you and your boyfriend/girlfriend. No one else is around. Try to find a place that is really dark so that you can really see the stars. If there are too many lights around, the stars won't show up very well. While you lay there looking up at the sky, you have so much time to talk and continue to get to know each other! I thought my boyfriend was crazy when he came to my room one night last year and told me to put on my shoes because we were going to go look at the stars. It sounded too simple and it was cold out. The blizzard had just hit campus, but don't worry, we trudged through all the snow to the middle of the track and sat on a bench and just looked up at the sky. To this day that is still one of my favorite things that we have done together and like I said, it's so simple! Dates don't always have to be about getting dressed up and paying money to go out to dinner. Sometimes just enjoying the night sky with the person you care about can be enough. If you look hard enough, you might see and shooting star...remember to WISH!
The First Date
The common thought that comes to mind when someone says "I'm have a date tonight" is Dinner and a Movie. Yes, thats a fun date in the beginning of a relationship because the atmosphere is light and the pressure is relieved a little bit because of the other people in the resturant and the quietness of a movie. My first date with my boyfriend was at a resturant in Hershey called Fire Alley. It was a Friday night and the resturant was crowded and I was so nervous about what we were going to talk about and how dinner would be. But it turned out great. We were able to fit in well with the comfortable atmosphere and just talk and enjoy dinner. Even though it seems cliche, I definitely recommend dinner at a resturant as a first date just to help the evening go on easier!
However, after awhile (especially now-a-days) dinner and a movie starts to add up and get expensive. That is when you have to start getting creative with date ideas. Creativity adds a whole other element to planning a date because now you get to think of something different to do together that you know that you will both enjoy and be able to enjoy being together!
